IKEA-frukost i L.A (bild)

Hello Kitty-butik i L.A

China Town San Fransisco

Hotellet i San Fransisco

Här bodde vi en natt. Mycket trevligt hotell.

Joe's Crab Shack, San Fransisco

Red Bull i stora flaskor

San Fransisco and the crookedest street in the world, pictures
This is supposed to be the crookedest street in the world. That's what the sign says anyway. Check it out!

Not your regular subway. No, in SF they use trams.

The island is actually Alcatraz. You know Alcatraz, don't you?

Lots and lots of hills in San Fransisco. Bet you knew that already!

Big fishie and green waffles

not your average gold fish
I don't remember where we found this. Probably in the same vietnamese mall. Too bad I didn't get a pic of the whole fishie.
We had some super cool waffles that evening at the vietnamese mall aswell. It's too bad I didn't take a picture of them, because they were green like nothing I have ever seen before. I can't even descbribe the colour. The colour came from a leaf or something. The most accurate descpription of the green colour would be like glowy radioactive green :) Hope somebody took a photo of the waffles.
Don't look at this post if you have a weak stomach
We found this in a vietnamese shopping center that we passed by in San Fransisco. (This is nothing compared to what we saw in china town in SF, but that was to disgusting to take photos off, but K's cousin Co took a lot of pics of disgusting things, so if anybody wanna see I can probably get some, but I will not post them on the blog.)

Passing by Sunnyvale
I simply had to take a photo of the Sunnyvale sign. From what I heard Sunnyvale inspired the name Sunnydale, which is the town where my absolutely favorite shows of all time takes place. (It's not only me who likes Sunnydale. I know that the swedish singer Orup wanted to name his latest CD, Sunnydale, since he is also a fan of the same show as I am. The CD was sadly never named Sunnydale)
Anyways, here it is.

Anyways, here it is.

Visiting Stanford University (lots of photos)
The day after our night at the Plaza hotel we went to Stanford University to drop yong Mr C off at his summer school. I'm gonna show you lot's of pics from the Stanford University Area. I'm telling you, it's HUGE.

Babies need to know in early age which university to choose.

Jamba Juice is some kind of frozen juice or something. Didn't love it. Can you believe it, this is a small size!
Do you see the water to the right in the picture. It is absolutely crucial to bring water wherever you go, otherwise you will not feel very well. It's very hot in California.

School of Law at Stanford University. How Cool is that!? :)
Inspire. Innovate. Lead.

The Hotel in San Fransisco (pics)
It was called Plaza something. Quite fancy but not very expensive, especially not considering how many people we slept in the same room. (Some had to sleep on the floor)
The pics are taken from our window.

USA Pt. 2 San Fransisco Road Trip (pics)
As I mentioned in my last post we went to pick up K's 4:th uncle with family. K's 5:th uncle had rented a 15 seat van for the occation. In the car were: 5:th uncle, me, Miss T, Miss J, Mrs 5:th uncle, Mrs 4:th Uncle, 4:th uncle, Mr Matt, Mr Co, young Mr C, and K. I'm going to show some pics below that was taken on the way to San Fransico.
It took about 7 hour to get to San Fransisco from Los Angeles. This is pretty much how it looks all the way if you don't take Route 1.

The Roads are a bit bigger than in Sweden. Then again, everything is bigger than in Sweden.

Can you believe it? They actually have cow farms in California, and it's not small. Like 10 000 cows or something. No kidding. (They had some very nice strawberry farms and grape farms aswell. I totally get that!)

USA Pt. 1 Visiting the US
Alright! This will be in english today!
When I booked the tickets I didn't really think about how early we would have to get to the Airport in Sweden (Arlanda).
This was my morning the 22/7-07 (Midsommarafton)
03.00 waking up. Pretty much dead.
04.00 Taking a cab to the central station.
04.35 on Arlanda-Express (train to the airport)
07.55 leaving for Heathrow, London.
xx.xx on Heathrow, spending 1 hour in line for security control.
xx.xx on Virgin Atlantic on my way to LAX. Virgin Atlantic was awesome to fly with. They had a personal media center for everyone, with lots of movies, tv-shows and music to choose from. And they had so much food. :) 11 hours went by quickly.
14.50 (2.50 PM) LAX. (LA International Airport) It was not easy to get into the US, we had to fill out a lot of forms and give our fingerprints and let them take photos of us. That sucked! No integrity at all!
Was a bit pissed off when we finally got out.
15.40 Finally got to meet K's 5:th uncle's wife and his 2 cousins. So good to see them again (they visited Sweden last year). K's 5:th uncle's wife took me to a little mall so I could by some Dermalogica face block, which is much cheaper in the US
In the evening they had a welcome party for us and K's second uncle and cousin that also arrived from Sweden later on that day. (most of K's relatives live in the US)
K's cousins loved the presents that we'd bought them from Teknikmagasinet and Claes Ohlsson.
That night we slept in K's 5:th uncles house, since we the next morning were going to San Fransisco, to leave K's 11 year old cousin C on Summer Scool by the John Hopkins Programme at Stanford University. On the way to San Fransisco we went to the Airport again to pick up K's 4:th Uncle with family that arrived from Florida. They were also going on the trip.
More of that in the next post. (I'm not sure that I will continue writing in english. It's tough for me, besides, my english is really bad).
I just had to take a picture of this. Found it on Heathrow on the way to the security control. We don't have this in Sweden. It's cool. Don't you think?
